The art gallery is splendid and The Factory Kitchen upstairs equally so (not to be confused with The Artisan Restaurant downstairs). This small, relaxing cafe has a lovely atmosphere, even on a stormy day! The furnishings are quirky, I love the glass topped tables. The views across Newcastle are fascinating. The freshly prepared food is delicious, as is the pot of tea. If lunching here, a top tip would be to arrive early ie midday’ish as the cafe fills up very quickly!
Another rainy day so decided to break up the afternoon with a visit to the art gallery and a ‘coffee and cake’. What a pleasant surprise! The coffee was some of the nicest I have had. My husband had a slice of what I think was a blueberry bakewell. He was impressed and he knows cake! It was really good. Fresh, ‘homemade’ taste. The cafe has a nice atmosphere, the view is really interesting. The food looks very appealing. We shall return. We would recommend to all. Thank you.
